While recovering from the gnarliest flu I’ve had in about 10 years, a buddy sent me a text telling me to check out this tune.  It may have been the fever induced hallucinations, or the absurd amount of medication coursing through my veins, but something set me off and I instantly fell in love with this number.  White Winter HymnalWhite Winter Hymnal reviewsWhite Winter Hymnal reviews comes from the five-piece Seattle based indie/baroque-pop band Fleet FoxesFleet Foxes reviewsFleet Foxes reviews.  The song was released as the first single in support of the band’s 2008 self-titled debut album.  The album was one of the most highly acclaimed releases of 2008, and can be found on almost any “best album of 2008″ lists.

I was following the pack
all swallowed in their coats
with scarves of red tied ’round their throats
to keep their little heads
from fallin’ in the snow
And I turned ’round and there you go
And, Michael, you would fall
and turn the white snow red as strawberries
in the summertime
