The highly anticipated announcement of the long-list for the Polaris Prize was made today, and my prediction regarding Chad VanGaalen’s Soft Airplane turned out to be correct. This is by no means a reflection on my skills as a music blogger, the album is just that damn good. Anyways, in honor of the announcement, I decided to post a song from another album that was long-listed today. I’m confused comes to us from the indie-rock duo Handsome Furs and their their second full-length album Face Control, released in March of this year. I saw their lights on the boulevard
My blood ran like water back and forth
Somebody’s out there
There’s nothing to do
My mind was set on you
I felt a chill creeping down my neck
But darling, please, say we’re not done yet
Somebody’s out there
There’s nothing to do
My mind was set on you
I’m confused (3x)
I know, my love, I know it’s easy to do
I hope this life don’t get you down
This dirty old time in this dirty old town
And if you’re feeling instructive
There’s something to do
Sometimes we get confused
I’m confused (3x)
I know, my love, I know it’s easy to do
I’m confused (3x)
I know, my love, I know it’s easy to do
I’m confused (4x)
