Today I’m posting a song that speaks to every person who has ever been on the losing end of a relationship; Not that it’s something to be reminded of, however it’s important to note that there are more of us out here. The song does well in reflecting exactly how damaged one can become.
All Their Broken Hearts is a song off the album titled Heart and Crime by Julie Doiron, released in 2002. The Canadian singer/songwriter was honored with the Juno Award for Alternative Album of the Year in 2002 for Julie Doiron and the Wooden Stars, and has opened for several notable Canadian artists including The Tragically Hip and City and Color. Her album Woke Myself Up was also short-listed for the 2007 Polaris Prize.
All their eyes are on me now
They can tell something is wrong
But they don’t know what that is
They don’t know what I’ve done
And they don’t know you
And he’s not saying anything
He’s just not saying anything
And she’s just along for the party
How did I get so lucky she said
Nauseous from a broken heart
These few aint happy
Doesn’t matter what they say
I just need to hear it from you
Nauseous from a broken heart
These few aint happy
‘Cause every day is a reminder of
Everything I fail
Every time I look at you
Everydayis a reminder of
Everything I fail
Everytime I look at you
