k-os – I Wish I Knew Natalie Portman (featuring Saukrates & Nelly Furtado)

It’s 4 hours into my work day, and I’ve already listened to this song 15 times.  This means that at any given point this morning there was a 20% chance someone walking into my office would hear this track; I like to think I carry a lot of the cool around there.  I Wish I Knew Natalie Portman can be found on the Canadian hip-hop/alternative artist k-os‘ latest album Yes!, released in April of 2009.  The song features contributions from fellow Canadian artists Saukrates and Nelly Furtado, and samples the Phantom Planet track California; you may recognize California as the opening track to the oh so angsty teen soap opera The O.C., though I really wish you wouldn’t.
