I’ve got another band-submitted track for everyone tonight, coming from the UK alternative group Lanterns On The Lake. Citing influences such as Bright Eyes and Radiohead, Lanterns On The Lake delivers an incredibly memorable listening experience. In fact, on the highlighted track If I Have Been Unkind, from the band’s The Starlight EP, the vocals seem to resonate with a Thom Yorke-esque feel. The gorgeous weaving harmonies also remind me of one of my favorite Canadian indie bands, Stars. Be sure to check out the band’s MySpace and pick up their album if you feel so inclined.

You wanted a piggyback
Well I lost my spine
And I dreamt of awful things
Like company and physical interaction
When you went missing
Well I looked almost everywhere
I sailed the seas
You were never even there
You were never even there
No you were never even there
No you were never even there
Thought I’d see you next night
You were nowhere to be seen
And of course that’s probably best
Cus it wasnt such a nice dream
When you went missing
Well I looked almost everywhere
I sailed the seas
You were never even there
You were never even there
No you were never even there
No you were never even there
