Mi6 – Jeff Brown

I’ve got a fantastic song tonight, coming from 10 years back in my music-listening career; a career that started when my surprisingly cool father gave me a Pet SoundsPet Sounds reviews cassette tape.  I couldn’t have been older than five, but I still remember listening to Sloop John BSloop John B reviews about a hundred times in a row.  Anyways, I heard Jeff Brown from Mi6 last night for the first time in 5-ish years.  Though a lot of the music that soundtracked my life growing up has fallen by the wayside, as my musical taste becomes more mature (perhaps more pretentious), there is something about this song that I still adore.  I imagine I’ll find a way to get it played at my wedding, and maybe even at my son’s Bar Mitzvah;  I’m not Jewish, but I still feel like this is going down.  If you’re looking for more from the now disbanded band Mi6, they still have tracks streaming on their MySpace here.
