Modest Mouse – Autumn Beds

I awoke this morning to a find a new track from Modest Mouse in my inbox, and Tom Watson with the 54-hole lead at the British Open on my TV;  It felt like a strange summertime Christmas morning where someone decided to put old home movies on.  If that ridiculously good simile didn’t make sense to anyone, let me know and I’ll break it down for you.  Autumn Beds is the third track on Modest Mouse’s upcoming EP No One’s First and You’re Next, set to be released this August.  The EP will feature unreleased tracks and B-sides from the indie/alt-rock band’s last two albums Good News for People Who Love Bad NewsGood News for People Who Love Bad News reviews and We Were Dead Before the Ship Even SankWe Were Dead Before the Ship Even Sank reviews.
