I was listening to CBC Radio 3 today at the office, and was completely blown away by this track. I haven’t quite sorted out why the song struck me like it did, but once I figure that out I’ll let you know. Vampire can be found on the Vancouver, British Columbia band Pink Mountaintops‘ third full-length album Outside Love, scheduled to be released on Tuesday of next week. The album includes a number of notable Canadian contributors, such as Ted Bois from Destroyer and Amy Webber from Black Mountain.
Just on a side-note, I would like everyone to know that I spent a friggen hour trying to work out the lyrics to this song. That’s how much I care about you, our 100 daily readers. So please tell your friends how rad our website is.
You blew fire in my heart when I was found
Oh you leant me coffins oh and laced them with doubt?
Oh and how I did lick oh that spot on your neck
Then sent shivers up under your dress
and moved light of the sun and suck up life from my love
So kiss me please kiss me I’m done turning blue
oh and I’m headed to the darkness I’m on the loose
oh lover oh simply wont lay down and die
ohhhh vampires you can suck out the blood
but you cant kill the heart of my love
oh creatures in flight
lets be creatures of the night
creatures in flight
lets be creatures of the night
creatures in flight
lets be creatures of the night
you can suck out the blood
but you cant kill the heart of my love
