Today’s song comes in from Toronto-based singer/songwriter/producer Royal Wood and his second full-length album A Good Enough Day, released via Canadian Dead Daisy Records in 2007. The album follows-up on Wood’s 2004 debut LP Tall Tales, and has since been followed-up by a 2009 EP titled The Lost and Found EP. This past November, Wood supported the latest EP with his first headlining tour through Western Canada, accompanied by Atlantic Canadian singer/songwriter Rose Cousins; Cousins, along with Ana Egge, served as the backing vocal tandem on Joel Plaskett’s award-winning 2009 release Three. Wood’s show schedule for 2010 includes a cross-pond visit to the UK before returning to Canada for shows throughout Ontario; a full-schedule can be found on his website here.
We are on our way
It might be a hard way
But as long as I’m with you
Yes we are on our way
And it may be in harm’s way
But as long as I’m with you
At the end of a long, long day
There is not much more to say then love
I’m so glad I met you
We may feel like folding
But as long as love is holding
The hands of me and you
The waves can be raging
For together we’ll be aging
And as long as I’m with you
At the end of a long, long day
There is not much more to say then love
I’m so glad I met you
So winds may be blowing
For surely we’ll be knowing
That as long as I’m with you
At the end of a long, long day
There is not much more to say
Yes at the end of a long, long day
There is not much more to say then love
I’m so glad I met you…
