There are only 11 more days until the release of the new album from The King Khan & BBQ Show (November 3rd), which means that today is the perfect day to preview the title-track.  Invisible Girl will be the 5th studio album from the garage-rock/doo-wop duo that formed in 2002.  As is standard from The King Khan & BBQ Show, Invisible Girl shows off the tandem’s ability to craft melodies that are satisfyingly simple, yet addictive as all hell.  The band is currently touring North America with notable stops in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, and Ottawa.  A list of dates/locations can be found on the band’s MySpace here.

Driving through dirt, dust have a way
I’m feeling the hurt that follows the pain
Watching you sink out of my sight
While the ocean, it holds you tight

You show me the way invisible girl
You lead me astray from this miserable world
Dance me through thick, dance me through thin
While we’re sinking, they’ll hear us sing

Purple pink and orange
Make me as high as when the sky
Meets with the ocean down below
On the sandy coast
Where we love the most

This is a cover song originally by Fonda. Can't wait for this new album.
  • Are you sure it's the same song? I found a song by Fonda called "The Invisible Girl" but it was different than this.
