The Rural Alberta Advantage – Don’t Haunt This Place

I heard today’s song on CBC Radio 3 while I was at the office today.  I noticed something really really good in Nils Edenloff’s (lead vocals) upper register that reminded me very much of Jeff Mangum’s tone and delivery; Have a close listen to the lines around the 1:00 mark and compare it to Mangum’s vocal from In The Aeroplane Over The SeaIn the Aeroplane Over the Sea reviews.  Anyways, Don’t Haunt This Place comes from the Toronto indie-rock trio The Rural Alberta Advantage, and their debut full-length release Hometowns.  The song can be had as a free download from the audio section of the band’s website here.
